Texts from God

I hear God* talking to me regularly. Do you? 
If not, or you think I’m crazy, try this little experiment daily and see what happens. Every morning, ask yourself, if God were to text me right now, what would the text say? What does God most want me to know?
I create all sorts of unusual ways for myself and my clients to establish a deeper connection with their God, their higher selves, and listen to their soul’s cravings.
And so, I invite you to return back to yourself.
Get up off your knees. Stop begging and pleading with God. Start listening.
The inspiration for this came from a recent phone coaching session. Kevin is a talented and handsome advertising executive. He’s married with one son. From the outside looking in, he’s got it all. Behind closed doors, he’s having an affair with a co-worker and about to leave his wife. He’s tortured with guilt and desperate for connection.
Kevin’s mistress texts him six times a day. He said that he loves the sweet messages. He feels loved, excited, treasured when he reads them. The idea came to me in an instant. Kevin, I asked, what would God/Your Higher Self/ Your Soul text you right now? What do you think they most want you to know?
“Everything will be ok.” And then, tears. Yes, everything will be ok.
I asked Kevin to write out 6 text messages from his God, or his soul, or his higher self as homework. It’s helping Kevin create love and excitement for himself. He’s learning that love is an inside job.
Kevin inspired a new coaching tool. It’s something that I use with all of my clients and myself now. And, the results are nothing short of powerful miracles.
Some of my personal texts from God:
You are loved.
I am so, so proud of you.
You are ready and can do it. 
This is all for you.
Go take a nap, please.
It’s not as hard as you make it.
Everything is always ok.
What you are worrying about is a waste of your time.
There is no rush. No need to hurry.
There’s always more when you need it.
Sleep is important.
On parenting: Compliance is not the goal. Understanding with love and compassion is the goal.
One day, you will be as proud as I am of you.
This is a really simple and shortcut to the truth. I ask myself many times when I am confused, or struggling, if I were to receive a text from God right now, what would it say?
100% of the time, I exhale with relief at the answer.

**Don’t get too hung up on the word God–swap it with universe, soul, higher self as you like. This isn’t a religious thing, it’s a connection thing.
